The first capacity-building module of the Academy of Local Workers within the framework of the “ CapSLoc: Capacities for Sustained Locally-Led Development project” started

On September 6, the first capacity-building module of the Academy of Local Workers within the framework of the “ #CapSLoc: Capacities for Sustained Locally-Led Development project” started at the “Best Resort Aghveran” hotel. The members of the Local Leaders Team (LLT) formed in the Akhuryan community are participating in the educational program of the Academy.

During the Academy, Artur Drampyan, responsible for the #CapSLoc project from the US International Development Agency, Arpine Hakobyan, the president of the NGO Center, and Araks Mikayelyan, the project team leader from the Urban Foundation for Sustainable Development, delivered the opening speeches. On the first day of the Academy, the participants studied the concept of #GoodGovernance and its essence, as well as discussed how community development is ensured as a result of #GoodGovernance implementation. During the last part of the day, the international expert of the CapSLoc project, Paolo Crugnola, presented the “Citizenship Index” research conducted for the first time in RA using such a methodology.
