Mar 2007- Mar 2008 – Human Rights Education: Step by Step

The project aimed at fostering knowledge and capacity of regional young leaders to become democratization agents and human rights activists in their respective communities. During a series of seminars, more than 30 young activists were trained in basics of human rights, monitoring mechanisms and advocacy techniques. One of the outcomes of the project is creation of a Network of Regional Advocates. They played an active role during the presidential elections in February, 2008 as monitors and independent observers. The results of their monitoring are published and posted in the Internet.
