Request for Applications
Civil Society in Action (CSA)/Counterpart International (Counterpart) in partnership with Urban Foundation for Sustainable Development through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), is seeking a Request for Applications (RFA) from Armenian CSOs to implement advocacy activities focused on the following thematic clusters to improve CSO financial viability issues:
- Need for diversification of financial sources of CSOs and advocate for adoption of the “1% law” (enabling 1% of the personal income tax to be donated to non-profit organizations without any loss of the income).
- Revision of the default treatment of grants as a type of “supply” by the State Revenue Committee, in which case the threshold of 115 million AMD of the organization’s annual sales turnover is exceeded easier, rendering them VAT payers.
- Improved mechanisms for establishing CSO-public-private partnership through increased CSO public image. More information and submission instructions are available
