July 2008- July 2009 – Affordable, Secure and Healthy Housing for Rural Inhabitants

The goal of the project: improving housing situation in the village of Kachik, Vayots Dzor region.
About 50 families in 2008 and more than 40 households in 2009 improved their housing conditions. Intensive beneficiary management activity was launched by UFSD to explain people criteria of the project and assist them with mortgage loan taking formalities. Parallel to construction activities, mapping of housing needs of the community is conducted.
A smaller scale project was implemented in the village of Nshavan of Ararat region. Here, too, mapping of housing needs was conducted and renovation / repairing works were carried out which were concluded with a housewarming event.
