The Urban Foundation with a generous support of Choose Love charitable organization is proud of providing its modest contribution to improve the living conditions of 112 forcibly displaced families (429 displaced persons) currently located in Armenia’s border settlements of Chambarak (91 families) and Vardenis (21 families).

UF provided 73 refrigerators, 3 electric water heaters, 10 beds and mattresses, 4 wardrobes, 3 table and 12 chairs, 1 kitchen furniture, 16 washing machines, 7 gas stoves, 10 electric ovens, 8 TVs in responsed to the assessed priority needs.

It is noteworthy that 3 families received work tools, a sewing machine, and computer which will enable them to provide a stable source of income for their families.

“This assistance was the largest in its scale among other initiatives supporting Artsakh families”, highlighted the deputy head of Chambarak community Robert Ohanyan.

In September, 2023 more than 100 000 residents of Artsakh – the entire population – has been forcibly displaced from their ancestral lands within few days following total humanitarian blockade lasting nine months. Such mass influx to the Republic of Armenia, conditioned by the risk of starvation and extermination, created humanitarian crisis as the displaced people had not managed to take anything with them.
