Dec 2023-Jan 2024 Technical assistance to ECOTEC in using pyrolysis technology for solid waste management in Gyumri

The Urban Foundation provided technical assistance to ECOTEC in
preparing a comprehensive technical proposal and legal
justifications for solid waste management using pyrolysis
technology with MARS VI-4000 incinerators in Gyumri. This will
mark the first use of MARS VI-4000 incinerators in Armenia.

To enhance waste management efficiency, ECOTEC reached an
agreement with the Gyumri Municipality to test the equipment.
Additionally, a thorough analysis of the legal framework was
conducted to ensure the proper waste management procedures
through the introduction of innovative technology
